I'm glad you enjoy your legacy glass. There is a lot of great glass out there if you are willing to put in the effort to sort them out.

Great detail Jim. Looks much like a blow fly which causes myasis on my sheep . We had two infected lambs today, one of them pretty bad.

Ok so the 35mm was getting jealous of thr 50mm messing with its EC 20, so I took it out for fly week.

        E 3, 35mm, EC 20, FRF with a monopod

        Thanks for looking

Okay, I know it's supposed to be "weekly", but here's from this weekend...

That's the sweet bokeh from the 70-300mm.

            and one from last weekend...

By the way, Jim... Your insects in here are incredibly well detailed! Love 'em!

              Cari

Another great series. Thank you for adding to FLY WEEK
Nice use of the on board flash.

              Ned

Great shots, I really like the bee/ flower.

The only thing weekly about the WCU is that I hope you have something to show me every week.

Thank you for the compliment, I Think doing the WCU's has helped improve my macro. Too bad I don't have time for a weekly in people, landscapes and birds too.

              Thanks for sharing

There seems to be a pretty high standard for macro shots over here, I think I'll struggle to keep up.

                      Nick

                      Great shots

That first one is exceptional and I don't see you struggling at all.

There are no standards here, this isn't some kind of competition. We just like to shoot macro and show it off.

The great thing about these flowers was they were almost five feet tall, so everything complied with Mr Apollos Body Building Plan.

In that case I'll have to try harder, if I'm not struggling then I'm not improving.

Hoverfly. OM 50 f1.8 reversed on Panasonic G1, twin T20 flash unit. Cropped. I think that I may clone the background curved stalk out in Photoshop.
