    Took this shot a few days ago with the E-510 and Sigma 50-500 at approx 60 yds. These youngsters were taking it easy and not worried much about me being there.

    That's quite remarkable for a 1000mm (equivalent) shot at just 1/100th - was it tripod or monopod mounted?

    The relatively slow shutter speed does seem to have allowed some of the grass stems to blur through their movement and the deer are not quite crisp, but the colour and tone goes some way to compensate.

      Ian thanks and no it was free hand except for using a rest as best I could against the buggy I was riding in.
