  • Some Pictures from 2018.

    Tea plantations:
In the southern parts of India..A very popular location for tourists..some unique flora and fauna as well as food.

    yet another view

    3. Unique in this region (the Nilgiri mountain range) is this purple flower that grows like a shrub and covers the entire surface in its colour..i was a bit late in the season to reach there..plus a cyclonic storm put all nature and plans into chaos.

For the biologically inclined the local name of the flower is .. Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthianus)..
a flower which blooms once in twelve years..and 2018 was the year of bloom..the next time this flower will be visible in the year 2030.. so quite a rarity.

And in the same region ..
Nilgiri tahr (Nilgiritragus hylocrius) locally .. the Nilgiri ibex that is endemic to the Nilgiri Hills

And i also found this little green gliding frog..actually glides when it leaps:

    All with EM1(ii)

    Regards.

I still haven't got my finger on the problem yet - I can't see any of your shots in this post at the moment, Raj - not your fault! - Presumably there is no problem at your end?

I've just updated to a new release of the forum software but this hasn't solved the problem.

I have disabled one of the smileys that may have been interfering with file addresses - can yout let me know if this has made any difference to what you can see in your original post?

        Thanks,

I can see this post ..every bit..pictures/replies etc etc.. and YES some cryptic code like text ..similar to scripts (actually it was the script/code describing the insertion mode )..have now gone ..they were appearing along with my text descriptions preceding the image/s ..

In this post i have not used the media or album route...all images were directly uploaded via paper-and clip mode.
just saw your reply on the earlier post .."thumbnails-visible"..

shall try another post using the thumbnail route exclusively and see what happens.

Here is the sequence of steps in screen-captures..in thumbnail sequence
                      1. ...thru 7. the starting image

i get the upload button (left corner)..click on it to select images from folders in the computer..

some warnings if limits exceeded, like files exceeding 2.0MB.

At this point I "save" or complete the "post" (Right bottom corner button)

The post appears with only as thumbnails and whatever text i might have entered..

At this point if i "EDIT" my post , i get this image below - You'll notice that i now have additional image insertion facility just above the thumbnails from where
i select the image by clicking the desired size . (mediums in this post).

the images begin to "insert" into the main post above the3 thumbnails...like image below.

i continue till am happy..and "save /post" the reply.

                      and that does it..

what it should be is that i should have got the option to insert the images into the post (not just thumbnails) without having to go thru a second step of
first posting only the thumbnails followed by editing that post (probably some code re-sequencing required ).. this was done without involving the media library.
the same thing i've managed from the media library. : first a thumbnails only post followed by "edit the post" when i am able to insert the full/medium/small..sizes of the images to the post )..this sequencing i chanced upon by chance..so hopefully at your end you will know how/where to tackle the code.

                      shall keep giving feedback ...
                      regards.
