  • The Festive Fotos competition short list!

Here are the top-twelve Festive Fotos entries, as voted by FTU forum members. The list is in no particular order:

Each entrant will be contacted to provide a file of their photograph that will be printed and the twelve prints will be judged by our celebrity judge, photographer David Bailey!

    Good luck everyone!

Wow, what a selection! How's Bailey going to pick a winner from that lot? At least it might put a smile on his face!

BTW, I seem to get the same image when I click on Crowd Pleaser and Medieval Fantasy....

Terrific selection of images, Ian & FTU members.

Good luck to the "talented twelve"...and to David Bailey! He certainly has his work cut out for him.

One of the finalists has only just responded to the request for a full resolution image to be printed for judging. But the ball is now moving and we should have a winner soon.

I agree--this seems excessive. It's made the competition feel like a bit of an embarrassment to me. Maybe in future competitions we can have some firm deadlines and timetables? That way, everyone would know what to expect, and entrants who do not comply can be disqualified so everyone else isn't left hanging. I hate to sound harsh, but it hasn't bee fair to most of the entrants (and interested observers!) to hold everything up because of one or two people.

I had completely forgotten about this. I lost interest many months ago. I agree with Hal, a bit embarrassing. I can't really remember if I entered or not but know I won't bother entering another, if there are any.

I think unless we do have a firm timetable for entries, I wouldn't consider entering a future competition. I appreciate there might be delays if you really want to get hold of top-notch judges, but we shouldn't be held up by entrants.

I am sure Ian is fully aware and quite sensitive to these sort of comments - they are an aberration in a site I otherwise have 100% trust in and I'm sure this won't happen again.

I remember Bear submitted some photos to the festive challenge even if he forgot.

Now, I have to admit, I'd like to know how the horses finally placed in this race.

Would make a great Christmas gift for someone

We all know that has been some time, but hope springs eternal! With the holiday season upon us. I'm thinking this would be a perfect time for the ultimate revelation of a winner in this competition. How close are we Ian?
