  • How to turn off the enlarged screen

HI - is there anyway to turn off the enlarged screen facility which kicks in when focusing. I am using the 100-400 lens for birds and find this facility does not help. I can see how to reduce the size and how to reduce the amount of time the enlarged area appears for, but not how to turn it off totally.

Hi again - by the enlarged screen I meant the assist screen - how do you turn that off?

I'm not sure if this applies, but I have the DMC-GX8, and to turn off the enlarged display, you have to change from 'Pinpoint' to '1-area' in AF Mode, which displays a small box rather than a cross.
      Hope this helps.

I cannot find an AF Assist Off function. MF Assist Off yes, but AF no

Are you in AFS mode? Try AFF or AFC.
