  • New GH4 Owner - Aperture DEC

    Hi guys,

New to the forum and new the GH4 :-).

Just purchased the GH4 body about a week ago, but now have no lens. So im looking to either purchase a Metabones or the Aperture DEC Regain.

    What should I go for?

Im leaning towards the Aperture DEC...

Also if I go this route, should I invest in:

    a) Aputure DEC LensRegain Wireless Remote Follow Focus Lens Adapter for MFT Camera, 0.75X Focal Reducer Adapter
    b) Aputure DEC Wireless Remote Adapter for Canon EOS EF, EF-S Lens to MFT Mount Mirrorless Camera E-M10 & BMPCC

    Appreciate the help in advance.

Call me sceptical, but I think it is more about you drumming up business for Aputure DEC!

Uncle Ross, lets make this into a study of the different offering for ex canon users. It may benefit us mft users as all mft have a 2X it may be good alternative to birders to have that extra focal length.

Lets start, What's the price difference?

What I don't like is that prodding part on the side, it looks fragile.

Hi Ross, I tend to agree, especially after that other spammer you flagged up earlier (who has now been banned). However, I think I'll give this one the benefit of the doubt and keep a close watch.

Evako, if you are genuine then I'm sorry, but we get targeted by a lot of spammers these days. It would help if you could tell us which lens(es) you intend to use with the adaptor and also tell us a little bit about yourself and your photography.

It all depends on what lenses you have. Do you want to operate with manual focus /exposure and so on. I have Minolta MD lenses and purchased a cheaper Zhongyi lens turbo focal reducer. http://www.zyoptics.net
            Works great for me.

If you don't currently have any lenses, then why are you looking for an adapter? There are many excellent native micro four thirds lenses to choose from, which would give you full compatibility with the AF and exposure modes of the camera.

Sorry if I misread you, but your public profile doesn't exactly convince me. What lenses do you presently have?
