  • Veternas' Day Parade

Saturday our town held its annual Veterans' Day Parade. It lasted about one hour. Every school seemed to have a marching band and/or a Jr. ROTC or drill team. The weather was perfect for the parade.

Marines marched and the detachment commander drove the Toys-For-Tots fire engine. Grammie bought some toys for the 6-year old grandson to give to the Marines. Ever try to get a 6-year old to give up a toy?

The second image I just like. This was the first time I used the 40-150 kit lens on my Olympus E-500 and I was impressed with how sharp it is. The image of the girl with the French Horn was taken on the fly. I think I lost about five pounds covering the parade and enjoyed every minute of it.

    Hi Lucian -

You certainly captured the activity of the parade, I wish I had been there.

Both are nice, I especially like the second one. I know it's not easy to make a decent picture without any control over subject or background.
      Best regards, Ad.
