  • Sequential shooting and continuos autofocus.

    Hi,

I have been practicing shooting birds in flight with my E-5, using sequential shooting set to high and continuous autofocus, using some slowish moving gulls flying towards me as target practice. (I am off to the Farnes is a couple of days for my annual trip to shoot the puffin and terns.) I have noticed that the first shot is sequence is dead sharp, but the autofocus does not seem to change with during the sequence. Does the AF stop when the shutter is fully depressed? That seems to be what is happening for me.

    Thanks,

    Ivor

I think I have found the answer to my own question. The C-AF doesn't work if the shutter is fully depressed, only when it it partially depressed.

Actually, I think the AF may not work after the first frame with Sequential High, whereas it does for each frame with Sequential Low.

Thanks Ross, I had not even tried sequential low. I'll give that a go.
