  • Scene modes

Although I rarely use them, I wondered if anyone knows where I can find information about the various scene modes.

I am sure that with previous cameras, I have seen in the manual a breakdown of the default settings for each mode e.g. aperture priority, preferred focus mode, white balance etc.

It doesn't have to be for any particular model. I was recently at a fireworks display and forgot that there was a "fireworks" setting in the menu - and the settings I chose were obviously not the best.

    Any information would be welcome.

    Re: Scene modes

    Alan,

I've not seen anything specific, but if you put the camera into the scene mode you want, using the 'info' button it will display what it is using as defaults for the mode. Some scene modes won't even let you change the defaults (eg my E510, fireworks sets f11, ISO 100, 4s exposure, vivid mode, MF etc...)

    Hope this helps.....
    Cheers....OzGary

      Thanks Gary

I had thought of that, but I would still like to know if there is a definitive list.

          It's http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/43/index.html and it's Andrzej Wrotniak.

I think you were thinking of the guy who invented the Apple computer, Steve Wozniak.
