    Hello one and all...I have a querie if anyone can help...last year i got into a bit of astro stuff using a e-510 in conjuction with a telescope opening the shutter using a shutter release cable...I have now recently got an e-30 and was curious as to whether I can uuse it connected to telescope and using a laptop for focusing and what I need??

    Do you mean using Oly software to control camera remotely?
    If so, you will need Olympus Studio (discontinued program) for that, you can use it to set exposure parameters and for triggering, however focusing would be better to operate manually.

      Also, the same remote cable used on the E-510 is the same for the E-30.

      Software: Capture One Pro 10 (& Olympus Viewer 3).

            Try olympus they sent me a copy of studio when I contacted them when my PC crashed and I had to get a new one. Download method.
