I usually use Ritx Pix, but they are a tad pricey. I really need to get a good printer.

I am going to retract that recommendation completely, I just tried to order some prints with their new online software, and it is unusable. I spent an hour, and after several frustrating restarts, the manual crop function not working at all, and the fact that when I tried to change my order, it would only add to my existing one, no matter how many times or ways I tried to remove things from my cart, I won't use their service any more.

I've had good success with Shutterfly for large format prints. They almost always have the best price, but to be honest I have nothing to compare the quality to. Objectively it looks great but without a side-by-side comparison I don't know what to tell ya.

Their shipping is first rate. Their tubes are more robust than others I've dealt with over the years.

Plus every so often they put specials on their canvas prints. It's an interesting look if you've ever seen photo on canvas.

          That's all I got

Just another sugestion, www.intelligence-direct.com are a specialist wide format printers. John there is very helpful (and happy to give advice) and his service has kept me going back for large format and canvas prints.
As to ppi, I would recommend as many as you can up to 300. 150 would be the absolute minimum, and 200+ fine. In general I upsample/resize mine to 300 so that I am not relying on the printers system to do it. You never know what the results will be like.
Others may have different suggestiong though!
