  • Celebrating m43 with the oldest Olympus camera

Olympus UK is looking for the owner of the oldest Olympus camera - and that could mean as far back as the 1930s.

If you think you are a possible candidate, please let me know which model you have. Olympus may like to involve you (and/or your camera) in their celebrations concerning the Micro Four Thirds launch next month!

the oldest i currently own is the trip 35 circa 67 and next is the 35 EC circa 69; i guess they're not quite old enough :-))

does this hint that Olympus are going retro with micro 4/3rds and the orange mock up may soon become reality?

I think it'll be a winner, especially seeing as the Sigma DP2 is priced about 300 more than it should be!

Looking at the new leather camera holsters for the E-620, I would say that Olympus seems to be following that retro trend, so I would guess that you're right about that!

This probably is smart, looking at the way camera equipment is going... Look at people's choice in straps, bags, etc., and you definitely see a retro phase happening.

So true, I found myself looking at a Billingham Hadley bag (in Khaki) the other day and thinking it looked pretty cool, in a retro sort of way!

I also love my Olympus 35Rc rangefinder, and if the m4/3rds camera is anything like that, or the Trip or the Pen then it's going to be a real winner!
