  • Focus Ring on Pro lens

I find that the focus ring often gets pushed back on the lens, as I put the camera in the bag.
Camera grabbed in a hurry, party scene, noise, quick shot needed, don't notice that there wasn't the focus confirmation - take the shot - blurred!
How can I lock the ring into the auto mode?
I dont believe I will use the manual focus in the future.

Re: Focus Ring on Pro lens

It does catch some people out until they realise that was what happened. I don't have one of the Pro lenses (unfortunately) so can't advise any further, but sometimes a little rethinking on how the bag is packed can be beneficial at times too when things get bumped unintentionally.

      Thanks Ross
I have found that a sturdy rubber band behind the focus ring stops it from moving back.
