  • IS question with Legacy lenses

I have a couple of old Nikon Lenses with an OM-Nikon adapter. Does Image Stabilization work with, too?

Re: IS question with Legacy lenses

IS does work with my old OM-lenses (via converter), so I can not see how it NOT should work.

However, if you have an E-3, you need to be sure you have at least upgraded the firmware to 1.1 (newest is 1.4) - concerning E-510 I do not know if there is a firmware-upgrade that makes it possible. Newer bodies ought not to have any problems.

My experience is, that with one of my OM-lenses, I will get a window where I have to tell the camera the focuslength of the lens. A ZD-lens tell the camera the focuslength and requires no window.

If you can select the focal length of the lens for the IS manually then it will work...if not you could always send them to me

Re: IS question with Legacy lenses

When you attach a Legacy lens on the 520, you go to the IS mode menu and at the bottom it asks the focal length, you press the +/- button and scroll till you get the right one and then you're done. Pretty sure the 510 will be the same.
