| History | |
The 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 II Olympus Zuiko Digital was an updated Mark II version of the original 14-54mm standard zoom launched at the same time as the Olympus E-30 in late 2008. Optically, the design was unchanged, including the absence of ED (Extra low Dispersion] glass lenses, however, Olympus improved the aperture iris to maintain a more circular profile. The autofocus motor was changed so that focusing in live view mode was faster and more precise. The lens hood mount was changed and a new lens hood provided with the lens.
