Here you will find a series of links and tips on setting up your new E-system camera. While the settings won't be perfect for everyone, they are a good starting point and will help you enjoy your camera straight out of the box with minimal manual reading, leaving more time for taking photos :D

[edit] Olympus E3
Based on 5 weeks spent with the camera the Andrzej Wrotniak produced an excellent and easily digestible explanation of the menu settings and how best to customise them.
It includes some real gems such as explaining that by setting the 'Rec View' (that shows an instant review of the image you have just taken) to Auto, "the camera automatically enters the "regular" image review mode with all its implications: you can browse images, magnify a fragment, switch between viewing modes, delete a file, etc." Importantly this means you can delete a bad shot instantly after taking it without needing extra button presses, a real time saver that isn't obvious without carefully trawling the manual. There is also a very clear description of Custom Reset and My Modes, something the official manual doesn't manage.
