The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 was launched on 24th April 2013. The G6 is a mid-range Lumix Micro Four Thirds compact system camera with an integrated 1.4M dot OLED electronic viewfinder. The camera features wifi and NFC, the same 16MP LiveMOS sensor as used in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 and the DMC-G5. It also has a fully-articulating capacitive touch screen.

Other improvements include a faster sequential shooting rate of 7 frames per second (mechanical shutter mode), plus additional video mode options and new creative effects modes.
