At the Berkeley CA kite festival, you are invited to bring your kite, however puny it is. The organisers bring the gigantic ones to make sure you find the festival.
At its peak, the festival is home of hundreds of kites if not thousands, of all types, nations and style. Swirling, plain, Disney, Japanese.
One of the attractions is the possibility to join a kite fight, where the goal is to cut all the other oponent's kite strings.
Of course volunteer catchers in the rye run around to nap the rogue loosers before they float into the water.
Great laid back familly fun.
