I suspect that a number of people, myself included, find that the E5 AF adjust feature is just what we needed to be able to use our Summilux 25mm f/1.4 lens on an Oly DSLR, since many of us have a copy that front-focuses on the E3.
I use a LensAlign Lite (which isn't available anymore) but it looks just like Andy's self-made version.

Thanks for your work here Andy! Not sure about one adjustment fits all esp. the Big Tuna at really long distances with the EC20 attached.

The problem is if you use the chart thing we have made it really needs to fill the VF to give an accurate indication. If it's too far away then the DOF pretty much puts the whole chart in focus anyway and you can't tell where the lens has focussed. For long distance calibration a really large one would be required. One method would be to put stakes in the ground at equal distances and angle them so they can all be seen, focus on the center one and see what the lens really focuses on. But you need a field or large backyard.

I'm not sure Datacolor will be pleased with me for showing how you can replicate their product for no money, but it does show up a failing in that product - not so great for long distances. I calibrated my lenses with the 'small' focus size set to avoid the problem you describe above.
Hopefully Ian will be able to shed some light on this in his review.

That would work. Maybe mark the one you pick to focus on and I'd try to be 45deg to the fence.
The problem is if you find the close focus is different to the distance focus then you have to decide which end you want to pick as the calibration as the camera doesn't offer different calibration settings for near and far.
