These intrigue me - they are obviousl replicating some of the most well known films but what are they?
The choices are:
Film Colour V1 and V2 (Velvia?)
Film Colour P (Previa?)
Film Colour A (Agfa...?)
Film Colour K (Kodachrome?)
Anyone know for sure what they're replicating? I'm not sure if the last is Kodachrome - it gives a whopping Magenta cast which looks incredibly vintage!

I'm not sure if the last is Kodachrome - it gives a whopping Magenta cast which looks incredibly vintage!
Ah, Kodachrome which hasn't been refridgerated and has matured well past it's aim point! Do they do a 'K' setting with a green cast to replicate the amateur version of the film which is too fresh?

V2 mode goes incredibly green. Incidentally, the flatter the contrast the more striking the coloiur casts become, they look scarily accurate for old slide films!
The red in V1 V2 and K are all incredibly vivid too! I have yet to find a mode which looks like the JPEGs mind, but I'm not complaining, they're miles off real life anyway!

It certainly gives more processing options when you want a particular effect.
Alan as a long time Silkypix user ( 5 years) I can tell you that they are meant to replicate various slide films V being vivid and P portrait (proberbly Provia), A is indeed a Agfa film look as i used this slide film for years, could not say if K is kodachrome as I never used it.
If you are getting a magenta cast with K I would check your white balance settings as with all the film effects the tone of the gray axis is not effected when changing this mode.
Slide film mode.
If you really want a old fashioned film look I suggest trying the NostaglicToy Camera Taste.
