Arrow Jon Nicholson Darfur exhibition opens in London

Olympus is sponsoring a short exhibition of work produced by photographer Jon Nicholson at the Air Gallery, Dover Street, depicting the people of the war-torn region of Darfur, in North Africa. The exhibitioon runs until this saturday and is also a showcase of what the Olympus E-410 and E-510 are capable of.

The E-410 and 510 passed the test of the Darfur terrain very well. Nicholson's shots were very evocative of the desperate situation of man's inhumanity to man there, but he also managed to capture the essence if humanity as well.

I was fortunate to meet Jon at the opening night. His images communicate well the desperation that he described to me. Worth seeing.

Would have loved to come to this, but why do events like this have to be in London? Photography or art in any form does not stop outside the M25. That's my gripe of the day done lol
