Hi Shirley,

Sorry to hear you can't join us, particularly as I know that means you are overwhelmed with work. I hope your weekend is not too stressful or tiring and that you do manage to take a little time out for yourself.

Re: Hatfield Forest Meet - May

What a fantastic day - sunny conditions with the right amount of warmth, camera in hand accompanied with friends from e-group and fourthirds-user forum.

I don't think I have taken pix of so many buttercups and with that in mind I have chosen to show some alternative images of the day as I'm sure other members will have some to post.

N T sign E area

Lake sign

Entrance to the forest/lake using the boardwalk

Symbols

Lake area with tea area behind

Geese going hither and thither

and finally.....

Speckled Wood butterfly

Re: Hatfield Forest Meet - May

Thanks, Barrie, for starting us off.

Here's my contribution.

Calf enjoying the morning sun.

This cow was remarkably tolerant as I moved in close on my stomach for this shot with the 9-18mm.

Too early for breakfast.

Slippery when wet.

Yellow iris.

Photographers at work.

Fun with a fish (Peleng 8mm)

Get down and get with it.

Re: Hatfield Forest Meet - May

Hi John -

Thanks for a great day - played with the pix until the early hours. Pleased with the results.
Here is a dog rose I took using the pop art filter on the E-5.

Mre great shots! The tolerant cow and the iris tie for best in my book. The Iris colors and composition are just fantastic. Question though: did the cow know something you didn't? It was a cow field after all

Re: Hatfield Forest Meet - May

Great alternative views, Barrie, and that dog rose really has "popped!"

Having now sorted through dozens of geese/duck shots (and deleting most of them ) I have just one more to post.

Great shots and looks like a fun day for all. Enjoyed Barrie's video, especially his singing.....
