Cool Start your blogs now on FTU!

Quite a few FTU forum regulars, whether they realise or not, use the forum in a blog fashion. This is not ideal, so now you can bloq away here on FTU

If you have a look on the forum nav bar across near the top of the page (under the main site navigation buttons) you will see a new 'BLOGs' option. This goes here:

http://fourthirds-user.com/forum/blog.php

On the forum portal page there is a panel on the top right that shows the latest blog updates.

There is an introductory blog update that goes into more detail here:

http://fourthirds-user.com/forum/blog.php?b=1

Meanwhile, I am kicking things off with a new daily blog that aims to highlight hints and tips specifically for users of Olympus and Panasonic Four Thirds (and Micro Four Thirds) cameras. See:

http://fourthirds-user.com/forum/blog.php?b=2

For most week days there will be something from me here via my blog.

And I'm looking forward to seeing YOUR blogs

Ian

Good feature! I have now subscribed to your blog!

Things like the "weekly close up" would seem to be an obvious case for this too.

Actually, I don't think so. The Weekly Close Up does not focus on one main post. It's a series of posts, of equal status, in a thread, and so is ideal for the many to many environment of the forum. If Jim was to produce an article on tips concerning how to improve your close up photography, that's a different matter and would be ideal for a blog.
