Nikon View NX2

I have Lumix GF2 & Nikon D7000. Nikon give you there viewer/loader software NX2 which they say works with 3rd party cameras i.e. non Nikon.
However it will not load jpg files taken with the GF2. OK its a Nikon product but they are useless at support simply saying they frankly would only help if it was a Nikon issue.
Has anyone used this software & is there a setting I am missing that would make it not say"unsupported file type". I thought jpg was a 'standard'

Re: Nikon View NX2

I have a D7000, GH2 & G3, my View NX2 loads RAW and JPG'S from all three.

I had trouble installing NX2 from the disc supplied by Nikon, in fact it just would not install.

In the finish I downloaded it from the Nikon site with no problems.

Re: Nikon View NX2

I wasn't aware of the multi-platform capabilities of Nikon View - does it do a good job with Panasonic RAW files or are you mainly using it for image management?

Re: Nikon View NX2

Welcosme to the forum, Howker.

In view of Dave's experience it might be worth deleting the software and then download it from the Nikon site.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
