LCD Sunshade / Hood / Protector for Panasonic DMC-GF1

I've purchased a gizmo under this name on eBay to see if it helps using the camera outdoors.
Now I can report that it does help somewhat as a sunshade while shooting, but more so in playing back images. It fits nicely without interfering with any buttons or my GF1 leather case, good protection for the LCD screen.

looks as if it would block the hot she thereby preventing adding the view finder which uses the hot shoe. is this correct?

Re: LCD Sunshade / Hood / Protector for Panasonic DMC-GF1

Brilliant idea - I was about to buy a pre-owned EVF-1 for about $118.00 - more as a focusing aid in bright light. Thanks to Click-Click's post, I saved myself almost a $100!

Now, all I need to do is master the (back)focusing habits of my GF-1. Thanks again!
