Unhappy Panasonic Lumix GF1

Help!

My beloved Panasoic Lumix GF1 has suddenly developed an error.

Whenever i try and take a photo it stops and an error message comes on the screen asking me to turn the camera off and back on again.

It doesnt seem to be closing the shutter.

Once i press the shutter release button it just comes back with the same error. Does any one know anything about this? Can it be repaired? Can i try anything?

the camera seems fine and turns on ok.

Only when i puch the shutter release does it error.

Help.

i live in Newcastle so if anyone knows any reputable repair shops please let me know.

All the best
Greg

Re: Panasonic Lumix GF1

I don't know what the problem is, but a couple of things worth trying is taking the lens off and replacing it after cleaning the contacts; removing and replacing SD Card. See if it will work in video mode.

Re: Panasonic Lumix GF1

Hi Kurt,

Ive tried removing the lens, SD card and battery but still no difference unfortunately.

The camera works in video fine.

Thanks for getting back to me.
