With the acknowledged excellence of the m.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0, Schneider Kreuznach have a lot to prove with their Super Angulon 14mm f/2.0 - anyone here salivating at the prospect of this lens?

Not really, since I already have the Olympus 12. I find it a bit strange that they target advanced amateurs and don't mention film makers. I had expected the lens to have some special features for video.

The design may well have some optimisation with video in mind - focus/field of view linearity would be a given. I don't know how the 12mm m.Zuiko fares in this respect.

Ian, would you care to explain what "focus/field of view linearity" is about? I know a thing or two, but this one's new to me . Thanks!

The only thing that excites me here is that it shouldn't be too difficult for Schneider to make this lens into a PC-Angulon 14mm . Still waiting for µ4/3 shift lens!
