L1 exposure bracket speed-up?

One of the nicest improvements that happened with the GH2 firmware upgrade was eliminating the delay between auto-bracketing shots. I still use my beloved L1 and it still has the annoying delay between bracketed shots. Would it be possible at this late stage to get a very minor upgrade to the L1 firmware so its auto-bracket could be sped up as well?

Thanks,
Sterling

Hi Sterling - I think that is going to be a very tall order but I will add it to the list

Re: Suggestions for Panasonic? Let's hear them!

I started with the G-2 because the Oly micro was too darn slow, lacked a decent viewfinder...then the G-3 came and its all I need. However, knowing that improvement drives sales here are my suggestions:

I think they need two item quickly:
1) a faster lens with greater reach…the long zoom lens they have now is great range but too slow and too pricey for the camera.

2) A quicker shutter, less lag to be equal to the new Olympus micro would be great.

And to top it all off here are 2 more luxuries I'd be ready to invest in:
3) small hot shoe flash
4) weather sealing

All of these would make it a must-have travel and convenient micro-slr

Thanks Martin. Of course there is some speculation that as the 12-35 is splash proof, you really need a splash proof body to complete the set, so a sealed Lumix, I personally think, is on the cards.

I ought to add that if there is anything particularly nice and impressive about some aspect of the design and functionality of your Lumix camera or lens then I'm sure they would like to hear about this as well. Some features come and go so appreciated ones should be preserved.

Re: Suggestions for Panasonic? Let's hear them!

1. I bought the G2 over the G3 a month ago, despite having to go for a camera with an older technology sensor. The reason is the beautiful external controls on the G2 that allow you to make almost all the changes you need without having to dive into the annoying digital camera menus. Having those external controls excluded from the G3 was a big disappointment, as I was forced to make a hard choice between better sensor performance or external controls. If there is a G4 next in line please reintroduce them. I cannot stress their importance enough!

2. Also the 14-42 kit zoom was also on the disappointing side, and despite it being a kit lens a minimum level of performance and quality should be expected. Could you please reintroduce a reasonably priced and reasonably performing standard kit zoom? Not everyone can afford a 12-35!

Thanks for giving this opportunity FTU!

Re: Suggestions for Panasonic? Let's hear them!

I think it's time for a metal body to make the GH3 more suitable for the kind of use my GH2 has been getting and a battery grip option is essential given relative short battery life inherent in a camera with a non optical viewfinder.

Second control wheel!

Size is perfect even though I have chunky hands but more prominent (stick out a bit more) buttons on the main dial would make it more intuitive to use.

In camera IS for all those lovely legacy lenses

Yes for chunky hands or rather just the thumb position on the rear of the camera! There is not enough space here. My thumb is always bumping the QMenu and Display buttons.
And a big second vote for "In Camera IS" for legacy lenses.

Cheers, Rob
