Adobe LR-4 released

LR is out of beta and final release is now available at http://www.adobe.com

The betas will work until 3/31/12.

The US price has dropped to $149.00 for a new user (might change eventually) and $79.00 for an upgrade from I belief all earlier versions but definitely for LR-3.

From my beta experiences I feel LR-4 is a very significant and useful upgrade over LR-3. I would certainly recommend it.

UPDATE: Windows XP users see Pavel's important message below. Thank's T-Lama

Re: Adobe LR-4 released

For Windows Vista and 7 only... now where is the XP compatibility? I don't want to upgrade the whole system, as the support for older programs just sucks.

Re: Adobe LR-4 released

XP is an old operating system now, time moves and you must move with it

Re: Adobe LR-4 released

You could think about dual-booting... it doesn't even have to be that complicated.

All I do is have 2 hard drives, one with Windows 7 and an old one with XP... then if I need XP for something I just go into the BIOS and change the boot priority of the drives.

Another option is running XP as a virtual PC on a Windows 7 machine.
