The accessory port was present like on the GF-1, so I would assume yes.

Re: Panasonic GF2 previewed

Since Panasonic's LVF-2 electronic viewfinder for the GF1 also works on the new LX5, it probably works on the GF2 as well.

Re: Panasonic GF2 previewed

I checked the (U.S.) B&H Photo website. No pricing yet, but they are showing the GF-2 as body only, body + 14mm, and body + 14-42. No version bundled with the 17mm, unfortunately.

The press release says that there is a port for an external EVF. It's only 220,000 dots--probably the same one as currently used on the GF-1, and far lower resolution than the EVF for the Olympus Pens or the EVF built into the G- and GH- series.

Seriously, though, you may find some dealers un-bundling lenses from bodies.
Hopefully, this will be the case. The 14mm f/2.5 is too wide for a walk-around lens, and the 14-42 is too bulky for those looking for a high-performance pocket camera.

Yes (I mentioned this in my preview) but the Panasonic bolt-on finder is very low resolution, only 200K dots compared to 1.4 million dots in the G1/GH1/G2 and Olympus Pen VF-2 optional finder.

Any views, anyone?
I have crossed my fingers and dived in and bought the GF2 with 20mm lens.

Re: Panasonic GF2 previewed

This looks like a nice way of buying the 14mm 2.5.
Ian, I noticed that the AF/AE lock button on the rear has gone. I don't know if you had enough time with the camera, but is there a way of quickly activating this without going through menus?

Re: Panasonic GF2 previewed

I agree with your lens critique. I was interested in what lens you would recommend as a "walk around" solution if the GF2 body was sold separately.
