Does Olympus own a map of the entire UK?

Lincoln is as far north as they go. It seems cities like Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow to mention just a few, housing a sizable fraction of the UK's population, do not exist on Olympus' UK map. Really clever marketing, I have to say.

Yes they don't know anything North of Potter's Bar. Forget it in Sheffield Nottingham, Leicester, Bradford ,Leeds, Liverool, Newcastle etc. I guess they are geographically challenged.

Hi Ian (the nearest thing to god since he got his mitts on an E3! ;-))

What's all this about Liverpool? I can see Birkenhead (Wirral) on that list but there's nothing about what was once the biggest port in the British Empire... whose team just recently beat some foreigners 8 nil ;-)

You'd think that owning 4 4/3rds lenses and bits that I'd buy an E-3 in a heartbeat, wouldn't you? But I'm baulking at paying £950-odd for a lens (50-200) I already own, again. Hence I may just make the break and buy Nikon this time around.

I expect I'll actually have to handle these bodies and then make my decision... but I gotta tell ya.. I've money burning a hole in my pocket and just can't spend it on anything.

... and big deal, a battery grip &/or bag... that grip will just make a light camera system heavier while offering 2 buttons and a shutter.... didn't everyone buy 4/3rds for a 'small, light system'?

Olympus needs to convince people like you big time, so do keep us posted if you do get to touch and try one.

Re: E-3 demo events in the UK and Ireland

Having just registered because of the really interesting info that you have written about the E3, and knowing that a replacement for my E500 looks all the more possible now, can I use this forum as a means to encourage Olympus to have a demo event in either Newcastle or Carlisle!! The temptation of seeing the camera close to hand is desperately needed to persuade the wallet to open up!

Newcastle has been added to the list, along with Middlesborough, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Belfast.
