Re: Win a fabulous Olympus E-30 DSLR kit!

Will edited pictures be permitted to enter? I have a picture that was edited to be black and white with a one color accent (friend requested) that I would like to enter. EXIF is still intact plus there are no quality enhancement done on it just maked it and desaturated and repainted the mask to show the one color.

I have the original shot RAW if edited pitures are not allowed. So wither way is fine. Just wanted to ask if I could turn in an edited shot. Thanks.

Since the rules didn't say anything about editing, I would assume that anything goes, as long as the image began in an Olympus digital camera. It's just up to the judges if they like the result.

. . . but I hear that one should never assume . . . is there an official ruling on editing?

ah but loads of people will be dragging out images from the late 1990's taken with their C860 etc and these won't need to kill any quality at all!

Post processing is of course normal and allowed.

If it becomes extreme, you will still need to have an original camera image with the exif intact if necessary.

200K is adequate for quality, but there won't be any penalty if you exceed this slightly. We don't want uploads that are megabytes!

Re: Win a fabulous Olympus E-30 DSLR kit!

I got nuthin'. 10,000 photos of landscapes and not a single "festive" shot! Just realized how dull my life is

Look forward to seeing some of the entries (and of course the winner). At least I'll have another E-30 buddy out there!
