The Weekly Close Up 13/2009 POST YOURS

Welcome to the Weekly Close Up, where spring has finally sprung.

I'm running late as I was out shooting in a perfectly calm Sunday morning. First my favorite dragon pond just after dawn and then checking in on a few borrowing owl sites.

Has sprin sprung for you too? Lets see it.

Are you still waiting? Show us the creative side to close up photography.

Please tell us what you used to get the shot and if you are cropping to get there. (it's a techy thing)

Lets get the show on the road.

Jim

Jimmy does the Happy dance!

Yes the sunshine has finally brought my pretties back and Jimmy is a happy boy. ( and I use that term loosely )

Hockey is over too, and I'm not as happy about that. The Wings lost the last game and the Cup Friday. Oh well, there is always next year.

I've only got one shot ready right now, I wanted to get the WCU's running first. I'll post more later.

This one was so tollerant, I regretted not bringing the 35mm and FRF.

E 3, 50-200/ EX 25/ FL 50r. Cropped some to remove a leaf.

Thanks for looking

Jim

Andy

Cool series, I'd love to visit there someday.

On that last picture, I've read about some kids getting busted for pot candy but I had no idea.

Thanks for sharing

Simply awesome photos, Jim! =3

I've already posted this one in my dessert thread, but this is probably my favorite close-up this week:

Grabbing my favorite dessert off the platter.

Jim et al

Not only has spring sprung but summer has arrived a week early. 35 deg today and warming up. No rain for about 6 weeks so everything is beginning to dry out and look a bit sad. This collection is not really close-ups but I thought I 'd post as have been trying out my new 'old' lens, a Yashica ML 135mm f2.8 - this is the first time I have used natything legacy on the E3 and am quite pleased with the results even if I am still getting to grips with the idiosyncracies of the combination. All have been heavily cropped but other than that nothing much in the way of PP. All comments welcome.
