E-520 pricing

I thought it would be useful to start a thread where people could share prices they spot for the E-520. I haven't been looking specifically but this one caught my eye:

MDI USA

520 body only US$569

520 body + ZD 14-42 lens US$669

520 body + ZD 70-300 lens US$899

Availability is quoted as "Late June".

I'm sure other dealers have already listed a price or will do soon so If you have spotted a good price somewhere else share it here!

$569 was the lowest price I've found so far, as well, although I haven't searched very hard.

Body only from VideoDirect for $569.95.

They also have the E-520 with ZD 14-42 lens for $669.95.

I've only purchased once from VideoDirect - my ZD 70-300mm lens. They seemed like nice guys; it was backordered for almost a month, and so they called me when they received them in stock to make sure that I still wanted it before charging me and shipping it. I'll probably get the body from VideoDirect.

Amazon has the body only for $600.

Well; whatever the US price you can sure it will be twice as much in the UK.

In the UK, Jessops is offering it in the following combinations:

Body only: £500
Body and 14-42mm kit: £550
Body, 14-42mm and 40-150mm kit: £650
Body, 14-42mm and 70-300mm kit: £800

IMO I'd stay away from Jessops. Not only are they bad at stocking Oly, and staffing quality has dropped hugely, they are rarely competitively priced.

Current best I have seen is Parkcameras.com:
Body only: £479
Body and 14-42mm kit: £529
Body, 14-42mm and 40-150mm kit: £629
Body, 14-42mm and 70-300mm kit: £759

I'd expect most prices to be around these, perhaps £10 lower or so, within a few weeks of availability.

Yeah, I'd like to stay away, but can you tell me of any other photography stores in the London area that can be visited using the tube and busses? if you can I will happily visit them.

Though to be fair, kudos to the Jessops in Ealing. There's a guy working there named John (he may be the manager) that really knows his stuff and worked with me quite a bit on the problems I was having with the 510 I briefly owned.

It looks like London Camera Exchange stores are fairly committed to stocking Olympus gear. There are several in London and around the country, see:

There's also Camera World in Wells Street and Jacobs on New Oxford Street, each a short walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station.

£439 with pancake lens at Dixons, probably better deals elsewhere.
