    SD Card Door

Mine fell off (and I don't know where), does anyone know the part number? I did a search for parts on Panny's web site, and none of the names sound like "SD card door." I don't want to not have this camera. Of course, I don't want to buy another when I have a perfectly good one either

Which camera? Did you lose it or do you have it and it's simply broken. And what about duct tape?

haha, the L1. And yeah, I could just use duct tape, but one of my favorite things about the camera is that it looks so good. The metal part underneath is in tact, it is just the blakc rubber covering that is gone, and I have no idea where it is! I have also mis-placed my monopod. Stupid moving.

Uh, duct tape comes in black and never looks out of place on a real guy's camera.

I wish the Digilux 3 would come down in price, I think that camera is just gorgeous. Of course, a broken one is on eBay right now for like $1,200. They run over $2,000 when they are in good shape. There is a new one on Amazon for 4k

Well, it doesn't seem to matter now. It seems to have quit working. I will begin a quest for a new one.

A real photographer would NEVER use duct tape! Gaffer's tape only please.

    Re: SD Card Door

    Sorry to hear it!

Here is where all the parts seem to be listed, but I cant make out if one of these is the door. The door itself does not seem to have a number. (Maybe if I brake mine off it'll be visible under the metal thing!)

    http://www.pstc.panasonic.com/EpartR...istChoice.asp?

I've bought a couple of things from them in the past. Just, don't try to get the magnifying eye cup from the L10! It's like a 12 year old trying to buy 2 cases of Sudafed!

Anyhoo, hope you find another. I'm not ready to sell mine just yet...

Yeah, I checked that page. Couldn't figure it out either.

Yeah, log list of poorly described parts. And forget trying to speak to an intelligent being on their 800 number! Whoa. That was a mess the last time.

Them: "Sir, what model is your camera?"

    Me: "It's a lens, not a camera."

Them: "What camera did it come with?"

Me: "None, it was purchased separately."

Them: "Huh. Let me put you to someone that may be able to help you better."

Did that twice. I kept trying to give them a lens model # or serial and they kept insisting that they needed a camera model! I hope it's gotten better with the success of the G series.

Anyway, if you do decide to get another, check with me. I've gotta sell some stuff, including the L1, to fund the E5 and Fuji X100...
