    Re: AVCHD Conversion

I'm using Pavtube to convert the HD video taken from Sony Handycam. The speed and quality is very good and just what I was looking for. It is very easy to use and gets good results.
I suggest you convert mts to mpeg4 for storage and playback

    Exclamation Re: AVCHD Conversion

Hi peeps. Any conversion can lead to a degrade!

The MTS extension may be changed to MP4. This may allow playback without conversion!

MTS may not be supported by your software/hardware however MP4 might be.

    It's a Blu-Ray class of video using H.264 and AC3 (possibly).

    [EDIT]
forgot to mention VLC (Video Lan Client) will play MTS on PC and is free

    Re: AVCHD Conversion

Just use a free MXF converter, I suggest you can convert video to MP4 (H.264/AAC) which is the most compatible format, I guess.
