Mirror Mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

    "Selfies" love them? hate them?
Social media is awash with them, its a craze which will never catch on and who really cares if it does or not. Are we becoming a nation of narcissists?

Selfies are great for personal use but may be much more challenging to interest people who don't know you. That's not to say they can't be - an exhibition of selfies from lots of different people would, as a group exhibit, be very interesting.

Just realised, mirror mirror magic won't work here cos (most) of us are mirrorless!

I can't see selfies catching on in any of the photography groups I visit. The photographs members post up, say more about themselves than a selfie. What inspired me to ask the question is that one of the new 'followers' to my flickr account, had many photographs of herself taken by someone else or was a selfie. Quite tastefully done and I thought vanity or erotic art. I concluded, the latter.

Phil, I think you should provide a link to this follower, purely for the purpose of evaluating the quality of photographic skill involved

Good morning John I had better ask you to check first, in case it's reminiscent from the days of top shelf and too exotic for the forum. I will see later on, if I can pm you the link
