    207th FTU Salon "camera"

A subject close to our hearts. Anything you fancy ie a favorite old camera, people using cameras or even CCTV. It's up to you. Be nice to see some old classic cameras though.

I thought of this as the other day I got my 13 year old E1 out charged the battery and took it out for a walk.

    and one of the results

The Salon will end at approximately 2 weeks from now, around midnight GMT on Nov 29th, 2016.

    Here's what you do:

    1. Either take a picture that matches the nominated theme or select one from your portfolio. You must be the photographer that created the picture in order to enter it.

    2. Upload your entry to your FTU user gallery (all entries must be present in an FTU gallery, which you automatically get if you are registered on the FTU forum), so if you aren't registered, you will need to if you would like to join the fun!)

    3. Use the gallery IMG code or the 'Post New Thread' Advanced Mode 'My Pics' facility to display your picture in a response to this message. If you are having trouble with this, post a message for some help here and we'll gladly assist. It become easy after a while!

    4. Only two entries per salon, please. If you want to withdraw an entry and replace it with another, that's OK, but you must make it clear in the post containing your replacement picture that this is what you intend doing.

    5. The decision of the curator at the end of the two weeks is final - don't give him or her a hard time about it; this is just a friendly photo challenge, after all!

    6. The person who submitted the chosen picture will assume the responsibility of curator and, as soon as possible, post a message starting a new thread in the FTU Salon board, with details of the new theme. That opening message must include a copy of these instructions, which also double as the rules.

    7. The curator can't enter his or her own salon!

    8. You can post two pictures.

Let see what you can come up with.

    Have fun
    All the best

    Andy

The E1 was my favorite camera in terms of ergo bar none; has been my beloved camera for many years till the first micro FT camera eclipsed it ;-)

While I love and use my original 4/3rds cameras not so with my micro 4/3rds equipment.
My OMD hasn't seen use since I got it. A photo of my E-P2 taken while experimenting
    with some "light box" images...

My Autograph can be had for a small charge (payable in advance)

The Autograph has a small plate on the back and a metal pencil. With the correct film (Autographic film?) the image can then have a notation inscribed which would appear along the edge of the image. I have never seen it in action as I and to my best recollection my parents only ever used normal film, if Autographic film was available. (It may not be autographic, I have lost the blurb that I had with the camera some years ago). My own first camera that I had for a present in the 1950s is a VP twin, hopefully I will get a chance to find it, photograph it and put it up.

    Re: 207th FTU Salon "camera"

    Hi Andym,

Here two shots of my first digital camera, the Olympus 5060 used by my son in 2005. I bought the 5060 to try if I should go digital or not after many years of analog Nikon. I shot these with the E300 with 40-150 wich I bought after a year 5060. The freedom to adjust the exposure and color by myself before printing was decisive.
