    Re: New firmware 4.1

Sorry, I was a bit slack & updated mine as soon as it was out on the 4th Feb but hadn't thought to mention it here.
I probably first noticed it here (http://www.43rumors.com/olympus-rele...m1-and-e-m5ii/) although I sometimes just look myself in the hope something else might come along.

I hadn't noticed any issue particularly & am glad they have been resolved though.

With the announcement and launch for the mk2, will we cease to get updates?

Most likely in anything additional, but will likely get them for lens & other accessories (eg new flash) compatibility, as all cameras (from E-M5 onwards) did for the 300 f4 teleprime Pro IS lens.

Not sad at all! We did pretty good with all the added features (& fixes) in the FW updates we got & now there is a replacement model & so I hardly think adding new features to an 'old' model is warranted or wise.

What new features are you looking for? If you're hoping for some of the features from the E-M1 Mk II, chances are they can't be implemented on the original E-M1, since it doesn't have the processing power, new sensor, and other upgraded hardware of the Mk II.

Was praying for the sensor shift huge image, dual IS on Panny lenses (like the 35-100), Better tracking in CAF and cleaner high ISO pictures.

Better start saving for the new mk2.

Start saving for the Mk II & use the Mk I as a second body or backup. Well, that's what I would like (if I could come up with the cash as well as convince my better half).
