    Viewing exposure

I have a Lumix G7. I want to set it such that the viewfinder would show the brightness of the exposure before I click the shutter. When I am in movie mode it does this. I can change aperature on the fly and see exposure. In the photo mode the numbers show red if exposure is off. But you have to chimp to see final exposure. Is this possible?

Check your menu settings for "constant preview"! Not sure about the G7 but other panasonic models like the GH2 have this setting which allows for what you want.

Thank you. I found the setting. Helps to know terminology.. A little disappointed in that it only works in manual. That will push to using manual more. Just love my new G7.

Try getting used to using Aperture priority (or shutter) mode with the histogram to get correct exposure.
