    Faulty main dial?

    Hi,
I've just received a second hand e-5 and I'm not sure if there's a fault with the main dial (on the back) or there's some setting I can't find to change it.

The dial works but it only alternates the setting instead of progressing. Eg it will change the aperture from 5.6 to 6.3 and back to 5.6. I'm fairly sure it's faulty but haven't used the E-5 before and it's quite different from my E-620 so wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

    Thanks,
    Spencer

Yes it sounds like the wheel mechanism inside, which is like fancy switch, is faulty.

Thanks Ian. I thought it might be something like that. Luckily there's a service agent fairly close so I'll take it in to see how much it'll cost to fix - hope not too much or I'll have to send it back
