This looks like the camera Olympus Pen owners have been wanting Olympus to produce, a built in EVF. And I'm pretty sure it will take sales away from the Pen series, hell even I'm considering one.

Certainly on paper it looks good. In many ways, it's maybe leapfrogged the E-P5. Which makes me wonder if Olympus are about to counter it. Here's hoping!

I normally have a hard time getting excited about Panasonic cameras but this one could be interesting...

Yes I'm also very interested. Because it now has in-body stabilisation (like Olympus), but also does 25p PAL HD video (unlike Olympus with only 30p NTSC video)!
It will probably replace my GH2, and put my my Minolta Rokkor lenses to good use!
    Cheers, Rob

Hi all, sorry about the teething problems with the product photo gallery in the article.

Am in Japan and have been shooting with the GX7 for two days - I believe we are the only publication to have had one to shoot with this early .

I will try to answer your questions! Fire away...

The in-body stabilisation only works with non-stabilised lenses, so if you have Mega OIS or Power OIS Panasonic lenses my understanding is that you can't use the in-body stabilisation with those lenses. But I will try to get that re-confirmed. It's only a 2-axis system but better than nothing at all!

How are you finding the viewfinder when wearing glasses Ian,do you see all the frame or have to move your eye around to see it all?

Also I see no sign or mention of a dioptric adjustment wheel on the viewfinder.
    Regards Paul.
