Re: Quick question for the techie gurus

Pete, I'm not sure I know what "native ISO rating" means exactly. That's probably because I'm not a techie guru. :)

On the G1, you can set the ISO to 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, and 3200, as well...

Re: Are Lowepro Bags Worth The Money

The Lowepro 200 is a good bag. I carry a Panasonic G1 and so, yes, the 200 is bigger than I need. But I carry other things in it, too. Like the knee pads that let me work comfortably when my...

Re: Batch File Renaming Software

I'm curious about this discussion on "renaming" and I would like to ask a newbie question.

When I download my images, I save them to directories which have the date as part of the directory name. ...

Re: Olympus RAW Format Plug-In for Elements & CS3 ?

Hello, 1948Kustom,

I don't use Photoshop CS; just Elements (7). I gather from your post that you don't want to use the Camera Raw plug-in for Elements (which I would think will handle the raw...

Re: Auto Bracketing Panasonic Lumix G1

Thank you, Tom. I hadn't picked up on that second part, where the camera continues from where it left off, when you press the shutter release a second time. I suppose there is a purpose to all...

Re: Auto Bracketing Panasonic Lumix G1

I have had to hold the shutter release button down on my G1 to take the full set of images for a bracketed shot. This seems strange to me: If the bracketing is set in the menu and the dial on top...

Re: G1 firmware update 1.4

Is there any way to reset the firmware on the G1 to the factory settings? I couldn't find anything about it in the manual. However, if you could, then you could reload firmware versions 1.1 and...

Re: G1 shooting menu problem

Ron,

Apparently, one cannot use digital zoom while shooting raw. The closest I could find to where the manual actually says this is on page 99, in a footnote regarding the "RAW" setting: It...

Re: Photo critique online etc

There is a time-worn method of critique that rarely fails to please and to profit the one being critiqued: First say something nice about the image; then add a suggestion for improvement. I always...

Re: Very cute girl

In addition to how pretty she is, that is a very good photo of her. Good color and she is well placed in the image. I also like the depth of field. She is entirely in focus; but everything behind...

Re: Current thoughts about the G-1 (1/09)

Mike, I just recently purchased the G1 and have done just single download to my PC, so far; but I used the cable and left the card in the camera. It seemed to work okay. I wasn't completely happy...

G1 and problems with a step-up ring

Iím a new G1 owner and--hoping to save my small investment in 58mm filters from my previous camera--I purchased a $10, Century brand, 52mm-58mm step-up ring. Unfortunately, it is not working out so...
