So why did Panasonic remove the built in sensor IS? Their explanation is that in some situations where the camera is subject to a lot of harsh movement, the sensor IS becomes a liability, even when...
  2. Re: Panasonic has launched a video-specialised version of the GH5 - the GH5S

The camera I used was a pre-production one and a full test of image quality is not likely to be representative of the best the GH5S will eventually be capable of. However, I've uploaded some shots...

    E-M1 passes water resistance test

Unsurprisingly, the E-M1 Mark II passed a splash and water mist resistance test done by Imaging Resource recently. A Sony, on the other hand, did not fare so well.

The GX8 is more aimed at consumers users who are not likely to be trying what you are proposing, so in my opinion this is not likely. The GH series is aimed at advanced and professional users - so...

  12. HELP! Re: Atomos Ninja Flame + Lumix G7 --> very noisy footage

I don't believe there are different 'quality' HDMI cables. It should really only work or not work.

I am not an expert on video, to be frank, but if you are seeing better results from footage...

I have had a response and I need to ask you if the output from the camera is also noisy if you plug it into an external display directly?

Selfies are great for personal use but may be much more challenging to interest people who don't know you. That's not to say they can't be - an exhibition of selfies from lots of different people...
