Re: Panasonic announces the LUMIX G 20mm / F1.7 ASPH lens

Thanks!

Quite good lens overall (and the camera too).

BTW I have heard that E-P1 has special software/firmware to correct known deficiencies of known lenses. At the moment it is apparently only...

Talking Re: Panasonic announces the LUMIX G 20mm / F1.7 ASPH lens

Very sweet. Can't wait to see sample shots.

If all is good, that would mean for me the time to jump on u4:3 bandwagon.

But the final litmus test is of course whether e.g. E-P1 with mounted the...

Re: Olympus Pen EP-1 sample images to download

Thanks for pointing that out, Andy. There are way too many way too nice pictures to look at - couldn't keep reading the text :)

The camera really really looks great and very promising. As soon...

Re: Olympus Pen EP-1 sample images to download

Thanks a lot for the shots! Indeed very impressing high ISO performance. What I find coolest is the ISO 6400's moire - I simply love it.

My E-520, with its banding on high ISO, is nowhere near the...

Re: The biggest Four Thirds sensor yet

But isn't that still a crop?

Why does it matter so much what's original sensor size (4:3 vs. 16:9) if in the end to get other frame ratio crop is performed (either manually or in camera)?

Or...

Question Re: New Olympus E-450 previewed

I have E-520 (purchased in Aug'08) and it seems that E-620 right now costs only slightly more than E-520 after launch. I got my double zoom kit (in Germany) for 680 (after drop from ~760), E-620...

Re: PMA 09 interview with Olympus Akira Watanabe

I see. It seems that I worked too long in business. This is one of the things that at first (when I only started working) also rubbed me wrong way. Apparently not anymore.

Essentially, as Olympus...

Re: PMA 09 interview with Olympus Akira Watanabe

Actually just week ago I have witnessed another possible explanation for xD in E-3* at Weitsicht 2009 in Darmstadt.

One guy at Olympus stand was checking out E-30 and was pretty happy about it....

Watanabe: 12MP is enough

Interesting flames on Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/09/olympus-exec-declares-twelve-megapixels-is-enough/) following comment of Akira Watanabe to ZDnet...

Re: PMA 09 interview with Olympus Akira Watanabe

* I'd love to ask about their future plans on upgrading sensor. Panny cameras have slight edge, though both Oly and Panny use literally same sensor. Also I'd love to see improvements in dynamic...
