Very sweet. Can't wait to see sample shots.

If all is good, that would mean for me the time to jump on u4:3 bandwagon.

But the final litmus test is of course whether e.g. E-P1 with mounted the 20mm (in some simple case) would fit into my briefcase. E-P1 is 36mm think, the 20mm lens is 25mm thick. So the E-P1 with the lens should be around 60-70 millimeters thick - seems like a perfect fit for my slim briefcase.

Some great looking examples there, I've got to say I'm quite excited about this lens so far. The video samples also looked very good too, you had some nice light to work with in that room btw.

As you've had a chance to work with the e-p1, gh1 and now the gf1, what would you say the real size difference would be, if they were all fitted with one of these pancakes?

The GF1 and E-P1 are virtually the same in physical size, though the GF1 is slightly lighter. Obviously the GH1 is heavier and more bulky, but that's a relative term only :)

Quite good lens overall (and the camera too).

BTW I have heard that E-P1 has special software/firmware to correct known deficiencies of known lenses. At the moment it is apparently only for M.ZD 17mm and 14-42mm. Now question is: would Olympus cameras/software compensate for Panasonic lenses and vise versa? Is there any interoperability agreement on that between 4:3 members?

I think the correction factors are stored in the lens firmware, not the camera's - so that should not be an issue.

Thanks for the coverage. I'm excited to see the new lenses for the mFT systems. I hope Olympus releases mFT equivalents of their FT lenses like the 2.0 50mm and 2.8-3.5 70-200mm. I also hope it grows at a good and steady pace with more manufacturers joining in this time. I wonder if Sigma have something coming for the mFT market.

Question: does it come with a sunhood? Didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

No, there is no lens hood included - it rather detracts from the compact dimensions. Olympus does do an LH-43 lens hood for their 25mm f/2.8 pancake - there is a picture here:

But it's no much of a lens hood and I'm not aware of options for the MFT 17mm pancake or the Panasonic one.
