Apple steals a march on Adobe - for E-600 RAW support at least
Apple has released a version 3.2 RAW support update for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard users. It enables RAW image file support for the Olympus E-450, E-600, and E-620 for the first time in iPhoto and Aperture 3.Interestingly, although Adobe has supported the E-450 and E-600 in Adobe Camera RAW for Photoshop and Lightroom for almost a year, the E-600 has been omitted. So Apple has beaten Adobe to delivering RAW support for E-600 users, which makes a change.
The good news, though, is that I learned from Olympus earlier in the week that they are working with Adobe to bring Adobe Camera RAW compatibility for E-600 users in the not too distant future.
